    Dimensions: 4.5″, 8.5″, x 0.17″.

Since I started testing waterproof bags, I’ve used this Pelican pouch most often. It’s a clear winner, thanks to its ability to float. The lanyard’s purpose is to prevent your phone from falling into the water while you are not there. However, accidents do happen and peace of mind comes with knowing that this bag will remain afloat. It is also cushioned and protects your phone from falls on hard surfaces. Also, the lanyard comes in a lime green color that can be swapped out. I was able to use the phone to take pictures while it was inside the case. Pelican tests its pouches even more thoroughly, and the case has been proven to remain dry for 60 minutes in 1 meter (3,3 feet) of water.

This size is a little tight for my phone, and the cushion (which is what allows it to float) meant typing is just a bit more annoying—I have to press down harder than normal—than with the thinner ones. It’s also worth noting that FaceID isn’t always reliable with these pouches. Be prepared to manually enter your lock code.

Since reviewing this pouch I’ve taken it on several trips and I love having it with me. on a cruise The Caribbean, kayaking excursions in Florida and a trip to Puerto Rico for a waterfall adventure. This is the one that I would recommend to my friends and family the most.
