    Ireland: Lifestyle hotel brand citizenM opened its first hotel in Ireland in Dublin, which has 245 rooms.

    The Liberties area, in the Dublin St Patrick’s neighbourhood, is situated directly opposite St Patrick’s Cathedral. The building was designed by Irish architect Sam Stephenson and features a brutalist design.

    The hotel offers a 24-hour canteenM and a terrace. It also has meeting rooms named societyM that are open to the general public.

    Mary Cremin is the head of programming for IMMA. She has curated each room with bespoke diptychs created by local artists.

    Claire Prouvost has created a mural and a bronze cast of a lyric written by Dublin rapper Malaki.

    Citizen M is a was acquired by Marriott earlier this yearThe mycitizenM+ program offers guaranteed discounts, late check outs, priority rooms, and free coworking throughout the year.

    Highlights:

    • citizenM has launched in Dublin with a 425-room lifestyle hotel, its first in Ireland.

    • Located in the Liberties neighbourhood, the hotel occupies a brutalist landmark by architect Sam Stephenson, opposite St Patrick’s Cathedral.
