HiJiffy’s most recent survey reveals that AI has become a current reality, not just a future trend. As automation is increasingly integrated into hotel operations, the question of where to draw the line is becoming more important.

This is the question that HiJiffy explores in its latest whitepaper, which examines how AI is reshaping the hospitality industry and how to strike a balance between technology efficiency and human touch.

Drawing on Survey responses from hospitality professionalsFirst-party data is a source of information from the Analysis of 16 million Guest Messages. Experts in hotel technology share their knowledgeThis publication includes Mews Oaky and Bookline and explores what AI can be used for today, as well as in the future.

More than 26% of hoteliers claim that answering repeated guest questions is the most difficult part of their job.

These findings reveal that 86% hotel professionals claim AI automation helped them save time. They say this is because it reduced the amount of repetitive tasks, such as handling FAQs and performing routine administrative tasks, or managing communication after bookings.

What’s the limit of your imagination?

The report explores not only the benefits of automation, but also the limitations. When asked what tasks should remain human-led by hoteliers, they cited special requests and arrival/departure interactions, as well as personal interactions.

    HiJiffy AI Report

Hoteliers no longer ask whether automation is appropriate for their industry. They’re more concerned with how to make the most of it, how to set boundaries, and how to safeguard what really matters: human connections. explains Tiago Araújo, CEO at HiJiffy. This whitepaper is our contribution. There are insights from hotel employees who have already adopted AI, expert commentary and brand stories as well as data from over 16 million messages from guests collected in the past year.

Based on real-life experience and multiple perspectives. What’s The Line? is designed to be a conversation-starter. The book concludes with an practical AI Readiness Checklist Helping hoteliers to assess their current strategies to ensure their approach to automation does not replace authentic guest care, but rather supports it.

HiJiffy’s White Paper is an important reflection for a sector in transition. The paper explains how AI can empower employees, not replace them.
