    Where to watch fireworks on 4th of July in NYC, 2025

    Just one year after switching to the West side, 4th of July fireworks in NYC—officially the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks—are returning to the East River. Brooklynites will be delighted to hear this news! Sorry New Jersey—hope it was nice while it lasted.)

    Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks is the largest display in the United States. This annual event is right there with the Macy’s and New Year’s Eve Times Square Ball Drop in New York’s holiday history. Thanksgiving Day Parade. Macy’s has announced that the 11 new effects for this year’s fireworks include “cracking crown jellyfish,” “atomic rings,” “strobing yellow cascades,” as well as “comet fan.” Also, there will be 30 new shell colors and 80,000 of them. Pier 17 will host an array of stars, including the Jonas Brothers and Ava Max.
