Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks is the largest display in the United States. This annual event is right there with the Macy’s and New Year’s Eve Times Square Ball Drop in New York’s holiday history. Thanksgiving Day Parade. Macy’s has announced that the 11 new effects for this year’s fireworks include “cracking crown jellyfish,” “atomic rings,” “strobing yellow cascades,” as well as “comet fan.” Also, there will be 30 new shell colors and 80,000 of them. Pier 17 will host an array of stars, including the Jonas Brothers and Ava Max. The West Side of New Jersey and the West side of Manhattan will not be able to enjoy the best views this year because the fireworks will be over the East River (the view was ideal last year when they were displayed over the Hudson River). Check back for updates from Macy’sWhere to avoid.

Macy’s nor the city has yet to announce official viewing locations for the public. Stay tuned. news from the retailer In the next few days, Macy’s will be letting you know where to watch including ADA accessible viewing points. Macy’s urges viewers to refrain from bringing large bags, backpacks, chairs, blankets or umbrellas to the official public viewing areas. This will require you to get a good spot early. In addition, the City of New York will offer a discount on certain prime locations. lottery for free public viewing ticketsAs of now, there is no word on when the details will be revealed.
The Seaport District, Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights are all considered to be prime viewing neighborhoods.
In 2023 – the last year that fireworks were fired from the East – there were seven locations for public viewing, which were monitored by the NYPD. These were all closed as soon as they reached their capacity. Manhattan: 1st Avenue & East 42nd Street; 1st Avenue & East 34th Street; and 1st Avenue & East 20th Street.
