UK: The Grade II-listed Royal Bell in Bromley is set to reopen after a multiyear renovation. The hotel has been transformed from a traditional hotel into a mix-use space that includes a club and a coworking space.
The BELLE Collective, a South London-based investment group, has led the project. Hampton Design Studio is responsible for the restoration and reimagining of the interiors.
The venue, which is spread over five floors and dates back to 1666, was completely redesigned by Ernest Newton in 1898.
It offer 14 boutique rooms alongside a range of amenities including a bar and grill, a pizzeria and café developed with chef Aldo Zilli, a courtyard garden with a bar, and an event venue called The Royal Hall.
The Royal Bell also offers a range of services and spaces that are exclusive to members. These include a members’ bar and terrace, a library for screenings, private dining and coworking, The Clubhouse – a sportsbar and social space, a fitness center, and an all-purpose boardroom.
Membership tiers start at £110 per month with options including day passes and a limited under-30 membership.
Mark Goldberg, the co-owner at The Royal Bell said that this venue is of great cultural and historic significance. We are proud to restore the venue with vision and care, creating a place that combines heritage and modern hospitality. We didn’t do it because it made sense, but because the project was meaningful to us and Bromley residents.”
Goldberg is the leader of BELLE Collective, along with Nick Gold and Jon Yantin. Yantin was most recently involved in the European launch of Virgin Hotels The launch of Sircle CollectionFirst London and UK operation. He will oversee the operation of The Royal Bell.
