UK: Inclu Group UK-based hospitality company, The new Inclusive Luxury Hotels are a hotel discovery platform Specially designed for travellers with disabilities.
The platform features properties that are either in the process of, or have been verified by IncluCare – Inclu’s certification platform for hospitality venues that demonstrate “conscious inclusivity” for individuals with disabilities.
Inclusive Luxury Hotels is a collection of 18 hotels in 10 countries. Inclu wants to have more than 50 properties in place by the end the year.
Amilla Maldives is the first property in the world to be certified by IncluCare. It earned this certification after demonstrating 24 months’ worth of development, and inclusiveness for people with disabilities.
Six other properties have also achieved Verified by IncluCare status, including The Atlantic Hotel, Jersey; Euphoria Retreat, Greece; Hotel Éclat Beijing, China; La Miniera Pool Villas Pattaya, Thailand; and Leopard Walk Lodge and Ximuwu Lodge, South Africa.
The “En Route” property designation will appear on the properties of Inclusive Luxury Hotels that are currently in the process to become Verified by IncluCare. The 11 current En Route properties include Cloud Forest Lodge, Lapa Rios Lodge and Monteverde Lodge in Costa Rica; Conrad London St James, Great Scotland Yard Hotel and Pan Pacific London in the UK; Conrad Maldives Rangali Island; GaÏa Riverlodge and Matachica Resort & Spa in Belize; Hyatt Centric Park City in Utah, USA; and Lujo Hotel In Türkiye.
IncluCare accreditation can only be obtained by hospitality venues who have completed the four-step IncluCare programme. The steps of the programme include an Inclusive Hotel Appraisal of current amenities, services and facilities for guests with disabilities, an online webinar, and a train-the trainer programme for leaders, department heads and front-facing staff, an action plan and adjustment plan for improving accessibility and guest inclusion provision, and a promotion and visibility of the hospitality venue.
The Inclusive Luxury Hotels platform also requires that all hospitality venues post their accessible room inventory.
