Hotels.com has just released their 2025 Hotel Price Index Report, which analyses nightly rates across the globe in order to determine where your dollars will go the furthest.
Hotels.com’s report includes a list of average daily rates for bookings of four-, five-, and three star hotels made on the site in 2024. Then, it compared the numbers with bookings in 2023. Chicago’s prices increased 7 percent from year to year. It is not surprising that rates are soaring in hot vacation spots like Kyoto and Tokyo.
Hotels.com explains that for travelers who cannot or do not want to travel abroad, four-star hotels in the United States offer the best bang for your buck. They cost 38 percent more than the three-star hotel, but are 118 per cent less expensive than the five-star property.
