Rebirth of a historic landmark

The origins of the earliest surviving versions date back to 14th century. Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel The Vieux Lyon district has a rich cultural and architectural history. The property, which was once home to Italian merchants and a Jesuit College, then a private residence and a boutique-hotel, joined the Radisson Hotel Group 2022. Reimagined as part of the Radisson Collection, the hotel will reopen in 2022 as a bridge across centuries. The hotel is set within six courtyards of Renaissance architecture. It reflects the spirit of Lyon: elegant, storied and always evolving.

The comprehensive renovation, led by Cécile Rémond, Architecte du Patrimoine, a renowned heritage architecture firm celebrated for its expertise in preserving France’s historic landmark, has breathed new life into the property. The restoration is a meticulous effort to celebrate the history of the building and enhance the guest experience. The reintegration of noble materials, preserved structures and rediscovered historic objects has been done with great care. This includes the striking 17 meter high glass roof which now crowns central courtyard.

The hotel has 61 rooms and suites that are individually designed. Each captures the spirit of Renaissance, while providing modern comfort. Collection Superior rooms are designed for short-term stays. They feature warm textures, classical details and a style that echoes the elegance of Vieux Lyon. Collection Premium rooms offer guests more space with characterful features like fireplaces, exposed wooden beams, and views of the historic court. Junior Suites provide generous layouts with Renaissance-inspired décor, perfect for extended stays or romantic getaways. Collection Suites, the highest level of accommodation, are named and decorated to reflect the rich heritage of the building. They combine antique furniture with refined modern comforts.
