    Cogwheel Analytics Announces Ben Golson’s Appointment as Chief Operating officer and Partner

    Cogwheel Analytics is a leading platform of business intelligence for the hospitality sector. We are pleased to announce Ben Golson’s appointment as Chief Operating officer and Partner. Golson assumed his new position on May 12, 2025. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, team development and strategic execution of the company as it continues to grow across enterprise hotel portfolios.

    Golson brings over a decade of experience in hospitality marketing, analytics, and revenue strategy, most recently serving as Vice President of Digital Marketing & eCommerce at McKibbon Hospitality. Golson, in addition to overseeing the performance marketing, marketing business intelligence, and distribution for over 100 Marriott, Hilton Hyatt and IHG properties from March to May 2020, also led the Revenue Management Team during a period of post-COVID reorganization. During this period, he played a crucial role in realigning the commercial strategy, uniting Revenue Management teams and eCommerce, and driving a performance-focused, accountable culture. McKibbon’s hotel website revenue increased from $56m in 2012 to $221m in 2024 under his leadership. This represents a compounded annual growth (CAGR) rate of more than 12 %. His efforts helped transform McKibbon’s digital approach, implement new BI tool, and deliver measurable improvements in direct bookings, channel contribution, and revenue.

    Golson’s role will not only be operational, but he will also help to shape Cogwheel’s product roadmap as it expands to include more predictive and prescriptive analysis. His expertise both in digital hotel marketing and revenue management, will accelerate the breaking down of silos.

    His contributions to the industry include Marriott’s Digital Franchise Committee; Hilton’s MEC eCommerce Forum; Hyatt’s Commercial Incubator and HSMAI Marketing Advisory Board.
