Samir began working for Marriott International at The Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay, California in 2006. After holding several operational roles in the United States, he moved to the Middle East in 2009, where he built a robust foundation in F&B operations at Sharq Village & Spa, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Doha. After working in Dubai, Jakarta and Doha for several years, he moved to the Middle East, where he built a solid foundation of F&B operations at Sharq Village & Spa, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Doha.
Samir was a key leader at several flagship properties. He served as the Hotel Manager of Al Bustan Palace in Oman and the Acting General Director of JW Marriott Marquis Doha. He was appointed as General Manager at the Sheraton Hotel in Oman, 2020. He achieved many remarkable milestones there, including market-leading RevPAR and revenue records, as well as significant improvements in guest service and operational efficiency.

Samir has also participated in projects aimed at improving the hospitality sector of Oman. He was appointed as the Chairperson of Marriott Business Council Oman in 2025 to lead growth initiatives and innovation for Marriott International across The Sultanate. His second-term appointment as a member of the Oman American Business Council, and chair of the Tourism Committee, reflects his commitment in strengthening diplomatic and commercial ties between Oman the U.S. while also bridging a gap between the tourism authorities and travel industry.
Samir also played an important role in promoting Oman on the international scene as a destination of world-class. Samir was interviewed in Tunisian media on several occasions between 2024-2025. These interviews reinforced Oman as a top tourism destination. His contributions have earned him regional acclaim, including being named General Manager of the Year – Oman by Hotelier Middle East in 2024, a recognition that follows three consecutive appearances on their prestigious GM Power List. Currently, he is shortlisted for the accolade 2025.
