His favorite dish was the Peach Cobbler Funnel Cake Frites served with Vanilla Ice Cream at Disneyland’s Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree.

Treasure Hunts
Disneyland Park has two special tech features that are hidden throughout the park. They unlock surprises and I call them “treasure hunting” with a magical twist.
There’s the Key to DisneylandYou can purchase a light-up, oversized key at the park shops. The key is placed into a lock at each station (one for each land) to reveal an icon and light and music effects that are themed to the particular land. Once you’ve found the ninth station, proceed to the Mickey Topiary last station near the entry, where the mystery pin (hidden in the key) is revealed.
It’s an obsession I totally stumbled on while wearing my MagicBand+RFID bracelets can serve as tickets, payment methods, and so much more. I felt it light up or buzz at certain times while walking through the park or watching shows. While walking through Downtown Disney the 70th displays unlocked songs every time I waved my hands, prompting a passerby to ask, “How did that happen?” Which I answered with “Magic.”
The coolest part was when, as I walked past the Golden Horseshoe shop, I saw some buttons with the logo of the 70th. When I tapped the buttons with my band, tickets for nostalgic rides appeared. One was for Disneyland Railroad, another for Mark Twain Riverboat, and the third for the Golden Horseshoe Revue–free collectors’ items that I didn’t even know existed!
Then I learned that there were hidden stations throughout the park. I was determined to find them all. I purchased a Mekong Maiden ticket in the vicinity of the Jungle Cruise. All stations weren’t created equal. Five different buttons were hidden in Sleeping Beauty Castle. They unlocked animated movement for the characters behind a window when I touched them. One of the most memorable was Tilly’s at Main Street Cinema. She ejected an old-fashioned movie ticket for “Our Special Seventyth Anniversary Guest.”
Disneyland’s legacy of Celebrating Happy continues to be celebrated by Disneyland, as Walt Walt intended.
