The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort is pleased to announce the appointment of Samir Bautista as Director of Engineering. Bautista has more than 15 years experience in luxury hospitality. He brings deep operational knowledge, strategic project management, and a commitment for service excellence to this new role.
Bautista’s career includes engineering leadership roles with renowned brands such as Hilton/Conrad, Kimpton, Trump Hotels, and most recently, AKA Hotels & Residences, where he oversaw engineering operations across multiple properties in Florida. His experience spans capital projects management, preventative and energy-optimization, and long-term asset plans. These are all critical areas for The St. Regis Bal Harbour as it continues to enhance its residential offerings and guest experience.
Bautista received the prestigious award in 2022. Engineer of the Year award by The Greater Miami & The Beaches Hotel Association, recognizing his outstanding leadership, technical acumen and impact on sustainability initiatives within the region’s hotel community.
Bautista, as Director of Engineering will be responsible for all engineering operations at the resort as well as its residential towers. His leadership will play a key role in managing infrastructure improvements, maintaining brand standards, and executing innovative maintenance programs to ensure operation excellence throughout the property.

Bautista, a proud father of 3, is also a Formula 1 fan and a dedicated family man. He can be found at soccer matches and dance recitals, when he’s not working.
