Hyatt Hotels Corporation, the Scalesciani family, owner of Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, and the David family, Mendoza entrepreneurs, today announced plans for Casa Duhau, a new-build luxury hotel – with 52 villas and suites – in Mendoza. Casa Duhau is the only Hyatt-owned hotel in Argentina. It will be a part of Reserva Alto Agrelo a development project that spans nearly 1,000 acres. Construction is anticipated to start by the end 2025 with a projected opening date of late 2027.
Casa Duhau, part of Hyatt’s Luxury Portfolio will be located at Alto Agrelo in Mendoza. This is one of the world’s most important wine regions, and travelers can expect to travel approximately 30 minutes away from Mendoza city, or 35 minutes from El Plumerillo International Airport. Inspired by the surrounding environment of nearly 100 acres of vineyards and fruit trees, Reserva Alto Agrelo will be home to Bodega Agrelia, a premium boutique winery with world-class expertise from winemakers Michel Rolland and Marcelo Pelleriti, along with Casa David – Wine & Horses, an equestrian club with an advanced facility offering a veterinary clinic and training center for horses, 24-box stable, a state-of-the-art laboratory, and more.

The hotel offers 40 villas strategically placed throughout the property for privacy and with expansive views of the Andes Mountains. In addition, 12 suites are located in the main structure. The hotel will feature two signature restaurants as well as a swimming-pool, fitness center and state-of-the art spa. It also has modern meeting rooms, lagoons, wellness experiences and thoughtful programming. Casa Duhau’s gardens, terraces, and event space will create unforgettable moments. Reserva Alto Agrelo offers a chapel for weddings. This allows for an effortless transition from the venue to a celebration of extraordinary proportions.

Reserva Alto Agrelo is the second major pillar for the master project. It will consist of a gated development that covers nearly 190 acre of land and will provide the basis for future residential units. The residential development plans include a private entrance and pedestrian paths as well two lagoons.

The wine club at Agrelia – Reserva Alto Agrelo boutique winery – plans to offer memberships that include an annual batch consisting of 72 exclusive bottles with personalized labels carefully selected by Michel Rolland, and Marcelo Pellriti, renowned winemakers. The equestrian club, Casa David – Wine & Horses, also plans to offer access to residents and guests.
Casa Duhau’s architecture will be designed by BMA ARQS a global company with offices in Buenos Aires and Miami. Martín Zanotti Studio will oversee the interior design, and Fernando González will be responsible for the landscape design.
