Andaz 5th Avenue recently announced Marshneil as the new General manager of the hotel. Marshneil has an impressive career across four continents. She is also known for her persistence, curiosity and heartfelt hospitality. Her love for travel and immersion in culture has shaped both her worldview, and leadership style.
Marshneil is a nearly 20-year Hyatt vet who brings her global experience, thoughtful hospitality, and a wealth in knowledge to Manhattan, where she’s lived since 2022. She has worked in guest relations, boutique consulting and Rooms at Hyatt Dubai and Grand Hyatt Dubai. Her largest Grand-branded hotel is the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar.
Marshneil’s journey took her to the United States in 2022 when she moved to New York City and joined the lifestyle portfolio at Gild Hall Hotel, a Thompson Hotel. Her strategic focus and leadership quickly earned her promotion to General manager in August 2023. She led Gild Hall to significant success and operational expertise.
Marshneil’s new role at Andaz 5th Avenue will see her oversee all hotel operations and strategic planning, as well as guest experience initiatives. She will also drive growth for this iconic Midtown property. Marshneil’s role will be to focus on Andaz’s core brand values, which revolve around celebrating individuality, empowering self expression, and promoting unique experiences through travel. She will also spearhead a continuous refresh of hotel partnerships and programming. Marshneil will be focusing on elevating Andaz’s local spirit, nurturing an energetic team culture and delivering immersive experiences that capture New York City’s dynamic energy.
