The neutral colors of these shorts make them versatile and easy to mix with other items. Super soft and with a relaxed fit that extends from hip to thigh they are comfortable enough to wear throughout the day. The drawstring is adjustable for the perfect fit. This lightweight top is perfect for spring’s warm days. It helps me keep cool even if I am in the heat for an extended period of time. The flattering fit of this top and the puffed sleeve make me feel good. The white embroidery is a cute detail, and it goes with everything in my closet, whether black, denim, or white.

These stylish pants come in black and white which is a classic color that can be mixed and matched, but they also come in vibrant colors like cobalt or raspberry, perfect for spring. I wear them to museums and other places that I’d like to look a little more refined.

(I once packed a black shirt with a separate black pair of pants that didn’t match since one was completely faded—oops!) Now I choose items that won’t fade. The shirt comes in many different colors. I usually pack the black or burgundy.

Maurices Plus-size Ribbed Knit Hoodie

This is the ideal spring hoodie. I like that it’s soft and lightweight. It also doesn’t shrink after multiple washings. It is a nice hoodie to wear at night when temperatures drop. And it doesn’t feel too heavy. You can also wear it for chilly plane rides. I wore the hoodie recently on a flight between Atlanta and Greece. It kept me warm without being uncomfortable.

You can choose from heather gray, brown or coral, but you can also get it in other spring colors, like blue and green.

Capri Sweatpants Plus Size Just My Size

The sweatpants I bought fit me like regular pants, even though I am 5’5″ tall. However, most people wear these as capris. These sweatpants are more comfortable than pajama bottoms, which is why I wear them on long-haul flight. The pants are available in 3 colors: navy, light steel or black. This allows you to pair them with different shirts and footwear. I like the adjustable drawstring and wide ribbed band on the waistband. They fit me perfectly no matter what my weight is.

Torrid Retro Chic Flutter Dress

The polka dot pattern adds a youthful, fun and nostalgic vibe to any outfit. With its V-neck style and short, fluttering sleeves, this swing dress can be dressed up or down. Princess seams, flattering basque waist and just enough stretch make this dress comfortable. Side pockets are also convenient. The black-and-white polka dot pattern means I never have to bring specific shoes or accessories to match because the dress goes with most things I have—but I usually wear it with black flats or sneakers.

It’s also great for warmer months, when temperatures at your destination are higher, but it may still be cold during a flight.
