Point Lobos is often called “Crown Jewel” for the California Park system. It is beautiful like Big Sur, but I was surprised by the pleasure that she is not crowded. This coast extension is part of the Monterey Bay Marine Reserve, and the tidal gathering is a great activity for both children and adults.
We enter Weston Beach, where you usually see crabs, Numan, sea canals, sea stars, and more. Make sure to check Tide diagrams And go in the tide low. There are also many long -distance walking paths and Vista points. Next time, we want to check Scuba!
Local advice: We went at 9 am for the lowest tide per day (-0.3 feet), and most of the pieces were small and full except for Weston Beach. When we left at 11 am (0.5 feet), people were still collecting the tide.
Wearing strong shoes If you are tidepooling. The rock is very slow, and we saw a few people sliding. We had almost a close call.
