These wide-leg pants from Madewell are always a favorite in my wardrobe. I had a pair already but couldn’t resist getting another one now that the sale price was 59 per cent off. The high-waisted style is comfortable and flattering. Plus the neutral colors will allow you to pair them with any footwear. The inseam is nearly 4 inches, which should help to eliminate chafing this season.

It’s hard to beat the feeling of wearing a soft sweatshirt on a long flight. Since I never reach my limit for top layers, I have been eyeing a stunning heathered sweatshirt that is currently on sale at a 30% discount. Maxi dresses are the most common type of clothing in my closet. And yet, as soon as I saw this drop-waist piece with a stunning poplin skirt, I knew I needed it—especially since I don’t have any simple black dresses. The knit bodice is almost like a tank, which gives way to the structured, yet still breathable, skirt. And best of all? It has pockets.
